Construction of 12 Houses at An Fhaiche (The Green) Bundaire, Boreen Braddach, 
Kinnegad Co Westmeath. 


In accordance with Article 81A (2) of the Planning and Development Act 2000 as amended (Section 179A) and the Planning and Development Regulations 2023 (as amended), notice is hereby given that Westmeath County Council proposes to: Construct 12 No. Housing Units and all associated works at An Fhaiche (The Green) Bundaire, Boreen Braddach, Kinnegad Co Westmeath. 


In accordance with Article 81A(2) of the Planning and Development Act 2000 as amended (Section 179A) and the Planning and Development Regulations 2023 (as amended), Westmeath County Council has concluded from a screening pursuant to the provisions of article 81A(5) that there is no real likelihood of significant effects on the environment arising from the proposed development and that an Environmental Impact Assessment is not required. 


Pursuant to the provisions of article 81A(6), Westmeath County Council has carried out a screening for appropriate assessment of the proposed development to assess, in view of best scientific knowledge, if the development, individually or in combination with other plans or projects, would be likely to have a significant effect on a European site. Accordingly, Westmeath County Council has determined that the proposed development would not be likely to have a significant effect on a European site. 


Plans and particulars of the proposed development, including the determinations under 81A(5)and (6) of the proposed development, are available for inspection at https://consult.westmeathcoco.ie/en and can be inspected or purchased at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy, at Westmeath County Council, Aras an Chontae, Mount Street Mullingar during public opening hours Monday to Friday excluding Bank Holidays for a period of 8 weeks, from Saturday 2nd December 2023 up to Saturday 10th February 2024. 


A person may question the validity of any decision of the planning authority by way of an application for judicial review under Order 84 of the Rules of the Superior Courts, in accordance with sections 50 and 50A of the Act within the period of 8 weeks from the date of the site notice/newspaper notice.
