Land Use Zoning

The sustainable acceleration of Mullingar’s growth will require the appropriate zoning of land to support housing delivery, economic development, social infrastructure and amenity and recreational provision. Land use zoning facilitates the orderly development of the town by reducing potential conflicts between incompatible uses and providing a clear and efficient basis for future investment. This chapter sets out Mullingar’s land use categories and the corresponding zoning policy objectives.
