PART 8 OF THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS, 2001 (as amended)

Notice is hereby given in accordance with the requirements of the above Regulations that Westmeath County Council proposes to undertake the following works:

Extension of Northern cycle route from Levington to Scragh Bog Carpark

The development will consist of the extension to an existing cycle route at Levington, Mullingar to Scragh Bog Carpark and the upgrading and extension of the existing carpark at the entrance to Scragh Bog, to include the following:

1. Provision of off-road cycleway over a distance of circa 380 metres through Council owned lands which lie adjacent to the L-1773 at Levington, Mullingar.
2. Provision of "Shared Space" signage along the local roads L-5706 and L-5708 linking to the carpark at Scragh Bog.
3. Upgrading, expansion and resurfacing of existing carpark at the entrance to Scragh Bog.
   Plans and Particulars of the proposed development are available for inspection at https://consult.westmeathcoco.ie/en and can be inspected or purchased at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy at the offices of Westmeath County Council, Åras an Chontae, Mullingar from 9.30a.m. to 4.00p.m. each day, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, from 27^th October 2021 up to and including 25^th November 2021.
   Submissions and observations with respect to the proposed development, may be made via the Councils Consultation Portal at https://consult.westmeathcoco.ie/en or written submissions or observations in relation to the proposed development, clearly marked "Extension of Northern Cycle Route", may also be submitted to the District Manager, Municipal District Mullingar Kinnegad, Åras an Chontae, Mullingar to arrive not later than 4.00 p.m. on 10^th December 2021.
   Written submissions or observations received will form part of a statutory report to be presented to a meeting of Westmeath County Council and will form part of a public document. The information contained in submissions may be available for public inspection, to be published on the Council's website and available at the Council's public counter. Details, including the names of those making submissions may be shared with relevant Council Departments or their agents involved in this Part 8 process.
