Proposed development to Willow Park Community House, 133 Meadowbrook, Athlone, Co. Westmeath.
Retain the existing use of Willow Park Community House as a community centre and Construct new single-storey extensions to either end of the existing building; Construct a new canopy along the length of the building; Alter the existing building and carry out associated site works at 133 Meadowbrook, Athlone, Co. Westmeath. The site works will comprise new fencing, drainage, hard & soft landscaping, relocation of existing sheds and works to widen the existing site entrance. The proposed works will be carried out in two phases. Phase 1 will comprise an extension to Room No.1, alterations to the existing building, a new canopy and associated site works. Phase 2 will comprise an extension to Room No.2, associated canopy, relocation of existing sheds and associated site works.
The development has been the subject of an Appropriate Assessment Screening in accordance with Article 6(3) of the EU Habitats Directive (Directive 92/43/EEC) and the Planning and Development Acts 2000 as amended.

Westmeath.from 9.30a.m. to 4.00p.m. each day, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, from Monday 9th December 2024 to Friday 17th January 2025.
Submissions and observations with respect to the proposed development may be made via the Council's Consultation Portal at https://consult.westmeathcoco.ie/en or a written submissions or observations in relation to the proposed development, may also be submitted to Westmeath County Council, Áras An Chontae, Mount Street, Mullingar or to Athlone Civic Centre, Church Street, Athlone, Co. Westmeath, to arrive not later 4.00pm on Friday 31st January 2025.
Written submissions or observations received will form part of a statutory report to be presented to a meeting of Westmeath County Council and will form part of a public document. The information contained in submissions may be available for public inspection, to be published on the Council's website and available at the Council’s public counter.
