Westmeath County Council invite stakeholders to take part in an early consultation survey. The aim of the survey is to gain an insight to the needs and aspirations of the local and surrounding community with regards to Mullingar.
The survey results will form part of a ‘Mullingar Town Centre Health Check’ which is currently underway and will inform the Strategic Issues to be considered as part of the forthcoming Mullingar Local Area Plan review.
The consultation will also feed into the development of a Local Area Plan which will set out an overall strategy for the proper planning and sustainable development of Mullingar. This will be an important policy document that has the potential to directly impact every individual and group living and working both in Mullingar and its surrounding area.
Stakeholder and Community Consultation
The survey is available to complete from Tuesday 21st June 2022 until 5pm onTuesday, 5th July 2022.
Please note that the survey will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete and the deadline to complete the survey is 5pm, Tuesday 5th July 2022.
Next Steps
Survey results will be considered in the context of the upcoming Mullingar Town Centre Health Check followed by the preparation of a Strategic Issues Paper for Mullingar. This Issues Paper will also be open for public consultation where you will have a further opportunity to have your say in shaping a future Local Area Plan for Mullingar.
